ICDL – International Computer Driving License

Overview:

ICDL is the world’s leading computer skills certification. To date more than 14 million people have engaged with the ICDL programme, in over 100 countries, through our network of over 24,000 ICDL Accredited Test Centres (ATCs).

The ICDL programme defines the skills and competencies necessary to use a computer and common computer applications. It offers a wide range of modules including Computer Essentials, Word Processing and IT Security.

Candidates take tests in the modules which are most relevant to their educational and professional requirements, thereby creating their ICDL Profile. Intermediate Modules – ICDL Intermediate modules complement our range of Base modules. They will enable you to develop your skills in knowledge areas that are appropriate for your everyday life, or for your job role.

ICDL – Database – Intermediate Module Unit

This module allows candidates to understand the concept of a database and demonstrate competence in using a database.

ICDL – Online Collaboration – Intermediate Module Unit

This module sets out concepts and skills relating to the setup and use of online collaborative tools, such as storage,productivity applications, calendars, social media, web meetings, learning environments, and mobile technology.

ICDL – IT Security – Intermediate Module Unit

This module allows candidates to understand the main concepts underlying the secure use of ICT in daily life and to use relevant techniques and applications to maintain a secure network connection, use the Internet safely and securely, and manage data and information appropriately.

ICDL – Project Planning – Intermediate Module Unit

This module enables candidates to use project management software to prepare project plans and monitor projects, including planning and managing time, costs, tasks, and resources.
